Carol-Anne Alcock
Executive Principal and Mentor


Carol-Anne is a highly experienced Principal who has worked in a number of schools and Academies around the world, gaining an in-depth knowledge of different educational systems and structures.  Prior to joining the Harris Federation in 2009, Carol-Anne worked for London Challenge in the secondary sector, supporting head teachers in schools facing challenging circumstances.

Role within Harris Federation

An Executive Principal for the Harris Federation, Carol-Anne oversees Harris Academy Peckham, Harris Academy Purley, and Harris Invictus.

Key achievements

Harris Academy Purley replaced a previously underperforming school and  within 28 months of the Academy opening, Carol-Anne had made significant improvements, leading to the Academy being judged ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted in its first inspection.

Harris facilitator

A dedicated mathematician, Carol-Anne continues to teach in both of her secondary Academies.

In addition, Carol-Anne shares the secrets of her success when facilitating on the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) programme. She supports trainee head teachers in identifying key priorities quickly, using tried and tested techniques to obtain staff team 'buy in'.
